Heroes and Villains Party - July 07Return to Past Events page
It was supposed to be a beautiful sunny summer evening when the members of the Bristol North West Rotaract and Rotaserv clubs planned this fundraising event for Frenchay After Burns Club.

However, it seemed like the villains tried to put a stop to our BBQ party by sending big rain clouds our way. With gazebo at the ready we didn't let it stop us though, and we all had a fun and heroic evening, with a raffle, and a Heroes & Villains Treasure map competition thrown in to help raise extra cash.

Raffle prizes included kind donations from Holiday Inn in Filton, B&Q, Thornbury Castle, Bristol Ferry Boat Company and others. We were pleased to have raised a grand sum to give to the real heroes of the evening - those children that we were collecting for at the After Burns club.

It seems that some members didn't feel quite so heroic after all those cocktails the morning after!!
